CZUSS Official Opening Event – A Celebration of Collaboration
On November 21st, we proudly hosted the official opening event of CZUSS, bringing together representatives from the Czech and Ukrainian academic communities, as well as supporters of enhanced scientific collaboration between our countries.
We were honored to welcome distinguished guests, including former president of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prof. Jiří Drahoš, alongside Oksana Seumenicht, David Honys, Chmirski, Madle, Katerina Joselova, Marek Vysinka, Martin Vita, Zbynek Kozmik, Magdalena Jirackova, Petr Cintula, Petr Sustek, Tomas Fischer, Viktor Zarsky, Zbtnek Wojkovski, Zdenka Vagnerova, Zuzana Hronova, Petr Koubsky, David Lacina, Rostislav Prokopjuk, Vlastimil Ruzicka, representatives from the SCIENCE AT RISK Emergency Office, UNHCR, and CEFRES.
The event served as an excellent platform to share our vision for fostering Czech-Ukrainian scientific collaboration and to outline the next steps in achieving our goals. A key focus of the discussions was the role Ukrainian scientists play in the Czech Republic, their contributions to the academic community, and the potential for future joint initiatives that will benefit both countries.
We extend our sincere gratitude to VSCHT for hosting this memorable event and to Prof. Pavel Matejka for his warm opening words. We deeply appreciate the support from Czexpats in Science and offer special thanks to Prof. Vladimir Majer for his invaluable contributions.
This event marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long-lasting and fruitful partnership. We are excited to build upon this strong foundation and explore further opportunities for collaboration and cultural exchange.
